In this week's episode, we're gonna talk about why I don't celebrate Valentine's Day like I used to. I'm also sharing 3 tips on what to wear for V-Day, how to love your body on V-Day, and what it means to be loved by God.
So my husband and I don't celebrate Valentine's Day like we used to because of a bad incident that happened back in February 2014. Long story short, both of our cars broke down on the same day that we were trying to see each other LOL! Ain't that a trip? My husband says I'm still salty about it and he moved on, but I don't care! Valentine's Day wasn't the same since then.
This Valentine’s Day, we believe in being bold. We believe in dressing in your own way, whether that means wearing an outfit you love, a new set of press on nails, or just trying out a new shade of lipstick. We believe in doing you. We believe in staying true to yourself and loving what makes up YOU, even if that means changing how you dress or how you look at yourself.
Here are some tips to make sure your clothing isn’t just “something to wear,” but a curated and intentional look designed to showcase YOU:
Choose something that makes you feel powerful and confident. Whether that means you want something with big shoulders, or you prefer something more flowy, go with what feels good for you.
Make sure the color scheme is one that complements your skin tone—this is not the time to try out a shade of orange that doesn’t work!
When it comes to accessories, less is more—you don’t want them competing with your outfit itself.

The world has a problem. In the United States, 70 percent of women and 44 percent of men report insecurities about their bodies.
Luckily for all of us, that's changing… and today is the day to make that change.
It’s never been easier to be brave about your body. We encourage you to embrace the things that make you special – and use this day to be more fearless than ever.
You are a special person. And it’s about damn time you started to feel like it, with all the amazing things you do each day. Plus, you’re never going to find sunshine in a bottle of pills… trust me, I’ve tried… But you will find the self-esteem boost you deserve in this honest, frank—and humorous—discussion on loving yourself when no one else does.
